About Me
Juan Gonzalez has the experience and expertise to understand a simple truth: you serve your customer and you’re serving your community.
“My favorite part is helping customers, especially business owners,” Juan said. “Most of my customers are Spanish-speaking and/or business owners. I enjoy showing them how bank products benefit their business. I am motivated by seeing them succeed.”
Juan comes to CBTx with more than 23 years of banking and insurance experience. Originally from Mexico, he migrated to Henderson at 10 years of age. He attended Kilgore College on a band scholarship and then transferred to Stephen F. Austin State University. After graduation, an HR manager convinced him to give banking a try. He has worked as a teller, business banker, assistant and branch manager, and he has previously worked in Houston and Tyler.
Now that he’s back in Nacogdoches, he’s focused on his version of Banking Texas Style: putting the customer first while serving the community.
“There are many great things happening in Nacogdoches right now,” Juan said. “It is a community in motion. CBTx has deep roots in the community. Our people and our ability to make decisions locally help CBTx rise above the competition.”
Outside of work, Juan is involved in the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, NEDCO, CASA and the Hispanic Alliance Committee. His wife’s name is Morena, and they have two kids, Alfredo and Dessy, and a chiweenie dog named Bonita.
