Zane Clay’s roots run deep in North Texas, so Commercial Bank of Texas’ approach to community banking fits him like an old pair of boots.

“CBTx has a very strong culture that genuinely cares about its customers and community,” Zane said. “To me ‘Banking Texas Style’ is being able to take the values and standards that make up our great state and apply them to our interactions with our customers and community.”

As the loan officer in the Farmersville area, Zane works with customers to service a variety of their needs, including home loans, land investments and builder loans, as well as assisting in lending for agriculture.

Zane was born in Greenville, and his family has been in NE Collin County for five generations. After high school in Farmersville, he attended Tarleton State University, where he earned a BS in Agricultural Services and Development. It didn’t take him long to get back home.

“After college I moved back to the area and have been able to enjoy the growth that we have experienced in North Texas,” he said. “We have a family farm where we raise Limousin Cattle, and my daughters have their horses. I look forward to the future and serving this community that has been dear to my family for generations.”

Zane joined the CBTx team after meeting Market President Brian Dale while working with the McKinney Chamber.

“We both were a part of the McKinney Young Professionals,” Zane said. “We kept in touch over the years, and the opportunity came up to work with the community that I grew up in and love.”

Zane serves on the Economic Development Board for Farmersville. He enjoys coaching his daughters, Avery and Andi, in softball and basketball with Blue Ridge Area Sports Association. They also attend competitions through various Youth Barrel Racing Associations.
