About Me
With almost a quarter century of experience in the banking industry, CBTx loan officer Tangela McAlister-Cranford relishes every opportunity to help her customers achieve their dreams.
“To me, ‘Banking Texas Style’ means personal banking at its best,” she said. “The adage ‘treat people how you want to be treated’ is what pushes me to go the extra mile for my customers. I want their experience with Commercial Bank to always be a positive one. CBTx rises above the competition because we care about our community and we go above and beyond to ensure our customers are satisfied.”
McAlister-Cranford joined the CBTx team in 2006, after a 13-year stint at Cameron State Bank in Lake Charles, La. She has an associate degree from Panola College and a Bachelor of Science from McNeese State University. She credits her college basketball coach, Sonny Watkins, with inspiring her to go into banking.
“Trust and respect are important in this career,” she said. “I want my coworkers to respect and trust that I will always give my best. The opportunity to grow and continue learning in my current position is important.”
McAlister-Cranford was born in Henderson and grew up in “the sweet small town of Mt. Enterprise.” She is the fifth of six siblings raised by C.B. and Carolyn McAlister. She and her husband, Darrell Cranford, are proud to have Trisky, “the cutest cat in the neighborhood.” McAlister-Cranford teaches Adult Sunday School at Wells United Christian Fellowship, and she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, reading and enjoying the great outdoors.
