It’s a simple equation: working for CBTx allows Jessica Hawkins to do what she loves, with people she loves, for a community she loves; therefore, she loves her job. “I love helping people, whether it’s to get a new vehicle, new home or just credit counseling,” Hawkins said. “I love my employees. Without the excellent employees that I have, I could not do this job. And I love my customers. They are the reason we are here. Each customer deserves to be treated equally and as if they are the most important person in the world. A personal touch, to me, is the definition of ‘Banking Texas Style’.”

Jessica joined the CBTx team in 2005. After CBTx acquired Elkhart State Bank in 2015, she moved to Elkhart to oversee the acquisition and become the branch manager. She now oversees the Elkhart and Palestine Banking Centers.

Originally from Hallsville, Jessica earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Stephen F. Austin State University and a master’s degree in management from Texas A&M Commerce. She currently serves on the boards of the Rotary Club of Palestine, the Palestine Area Chamber of Commerce and the YMCA. She has one son, and she enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends.
