About Me

For Angela Underwood, Banking Texas Style means putting customers and community first.

“I truly care about my customers and their needs,” Angela said. “I want to form lasting relationships and provide the best service and products.”

Angela began her banking career in high school, when she got a job as a teller through the VOE program at Bonham High School. She is a graduate of Texas A&M Bank Operations School.

“I have loved every aspect on both the operations and lending side of banking,” she said. “The most rewarding part is knowing that we have made a difference and had a positive impact on our customers and our community.”

A native of Bonham, the deep connection to her community comes naturally for Angela.

“I love the small town, Friday night lights community,” she said. “I love that we hold tight to our tradition and support strong values.”

Those values, like honesty, loyalty and communication, are part of what make CBTx a true community bank, Angela said.

“Banking Texas Style is about taking care of others,” she said. “Making sure that each and every person I contact daily knows how important they are to me, and to CBTx.”

Angela has been married to her husband, Michael, for more than 20 years, and they have four daughters and a son. She is a proud Meema to one grandson, with another on the way. She is a member of Lamasco Baptist Church.

What book has had the biggest impact on you?

The Bible; it has an answer for everything.

Who would you consider to be your hero?

I consider my son, Clayton, my hero. He has taught me that even through daily challenges, life is still precious. He has taught me that we are all different and we should learn to accept and celebrate our differences.

What is your favorite childhood memory?

Week-ends with my family at my grandparents with our very large extended family.
