Amy Rogers “fell into banking by accident,” but it didn’t take her long to realize how much she loves Banking Texas Style.

“Banking Texas Style embodies the values of Texas, such as friendliness, hospitality, and a strong work ethic,” she said. “We focus on building long-term relationships with customers, understanding their unique financial needs, and providing tailored solutions for personal banking and loans.”

Amy was born in North Carolina but considers East Texas home.

“I moved to Lufkin when I was 10 years old and have never left! This is my hometown and always will be,” she said. “I like its strong sense of community and the warmth of its people. The local businesses, parks, and events give the community a welcoming, close-knit atmosphere, and there’s a perfect balance of small-town charm with access to nature.”

After earning her associate degree in criminal justice from Angelina College and a Bachelor of business management from Lamar University, Amy was trying to chart a career path when she joined the CBTx team.

“I had just graduated from college, and I could not find a full-time job in my degree field,” she said. “I was banking at CBTx and heard that they were hiring a full-time teller. I took the leap thinking I wouldn’t stay long, then fell in love with the environment, coworkers, and the customers. Plus, I was very good at each job that was thrown my way. I was meant to be in banking!”

That leap proved to be a great decision. After discovering her knack for the job, Amy learned to appreciate the satisfaction of helping her clients.

“Whether it’s assisting a family in securing their dream home or helping a local business grow, I find it incredibly rewarding to be a part of such important milestones,” she said. “Knowing that my efforts can make a real difference in their lives drives me to provide the best services possible. Their success is my success, and that shared outcome is what fuels my dedication.”

Amy, her husband, Chris, and her two stepchildren enjoy racing in their free time. She and Chris race a Chevy Malibu wagon and the children race junior dragsters.

What was your first job?

A paper route in middle school at age 13.

I have an NHRA competition license.

What is your favorite movie?

The Shawshank Redemption.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a forensic investigator.

What was your best day ever? Why?

My best day ever was my wedding day. My husband and I got married in December 2022. It was absolutely everything I could have dreamed.
