About Me

As branch manager of the Cushing Banking Center, Shara Blankenship is focused first and foremost on serving her tight-knit community.

“Everyone here knows everyone, and people are always there to give a helping hand,” Shara said. “I enjoy being able to help those in the community with their banking needs.”

Shara was born in Austin, grew up in Tyler and graduated from Lufkin High School. She joined CBTX in 2001 as a teller before working her way up to assistant deposit coordinator and then moving to the accounting department. She moved to Cushing in 2003, where she serves as branch manager.

Shara and her husband, Jess, have two children, a son, Mason Reeves, and a daughter, Olivia Blankenship.

Fun Facts

What was the first job you ever had?

Soda jerk at Pampells in Kerrville.  It was an antique shop and old timey soda fountain

Hobbies/Favorite leisure time activities:

I enjoy watching the kids play sports and riding dirtbikes.
