About Me

For Carol Bostian, Banking Texas Style means making genuine connections with her customers first, then making informed decisions based on their unique circumstances. “Many customers that we see on a daily basis are like family,” she said. “It’s rewarding to be part of a community bank where WE make the decisions based on our customers’ needs, instead of being controlled by corporate offices in another part of the country.”

Bostian has been involved in the banking industry for more than 20 years, after a part-time job in college became her career. She’s been with CBTx since 2013, and she enjoys doing things “bigger and better, of course, and always with a friendly smile. “People are people to us,” she said. “Our customers are not numbers or dollar signs. We support our community, which in turn supports us.” After years of managing the Stallings location of CBTx, Carol accepted the opportunity to move to the Main Banking Center in downtown Nacogdoches and focus on managing the Aircraft Loans division.

A native of Big Sandy, Bostian earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in general business from Stephen F. Austin. She serves as treasurer of the Nacogdoches County CrimeStoppers board.

Bostian and her husband, Clay, have two children, Jake and Jon. Their family enjoys spending time at the beach.

What was the first job you ever had? 

Waiting tables.

Who would you consider to be your hero?

My Dad. I lost him to cancer, but what made him a hero to me was the way he gracefully accepted the end of his life, knowing he had lived a good life, provided for us, taught us well, loved us unconditionally despite our flaws, left nothing undone or unsaid, and was certain of his salvation.

What was the best concert you ever attended?

Bon Jovi, short hair era; would have loved to have seen them in the long hair days.
