About Me

For Jimmy Mize, Banking Texas Style is in his blood.

Jimmy’s grandfather served on the CBTx Board of Directors so he was introduced to Banking Texas Style at a young age. Jimmy began his career in community banking with CBTx in 1982. He earned his degree in finance from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1984 and went on to graduate from Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University in 1995. Jimmy has experienced a very successful and active career in community banking. 

Jimmy is an active member of the Nacogdoches community. He currently serves as Board Chair of the Pineywoods Groundwater Conservation District and Vice Chair of the Boy’s & Girl’s Club of Deep East Texas. Jimmy formerly served as the Mayor of Nacogdoches. He is also past board chair of the Nacogdoches County Parks Board, the Nacogdoches Economic Development Corporation (NEDCO), Deep East Texas Workforce Solutions, and past Board Chair of the Stephen F. Austin State University Foundation. Jimmy is past President of the Nacogdoches Booster Club, past president of the Rotary Club of Nacogdoches, and a Governor Greg Abbott appointee to the State of Texas Product Development and Small Business Incubator Board.

Jimmy is married to Lisa Rudisill Mize whose grandfather was also a member of the CBTx Board of Directors.  He and his wife have one son, Charles.
